The BRENT SIGN COMPANY was established in 1939 by John F. Bresnik in Beverly Hills, California. In 1946, he moved to 2308 Sawtelle Boulevard in West Los Angeles. His company was a major supplier of signs and other advertising media that developers and Realtors used during the aggressive growth of the West Los Angeles area from the late forties until the late sixties.

In 1965, John (owner’s son) began his career at the Brent Sign Company. After twenty-seven years as the general manager, he assumed ownership after his father passed away in December of 1992. The company moved to Escondido, California, approximately thirty miles north of San Diego.

Our recent history includes a major project for Realtor.com. From January 1997 until January of 2000 we produced and shipped over 250,000 sign riders to thousands of Realtor.com members nationwide. These sign riders advertised their "Personal URL" and other contact information used in their advertising and marketing programs. During this time, the name was changed to onlinesigns.com

After making signs for fifty-five years, John decided to retire from the sign business in order to pursue other interests. He sold the business to Brad Reschke of San Diego in August of 2009. Brad graduated from Long Beach State University with a major in business administration. He has a keen interest in the graphics business and a particular interest in sign-making. He brings the energy of youth and a new level of excitement to this well-established business.
